Back to Main Page

This is my section of various stuff I wanted to share, some of it I've edited/made and some of it I just wanted to make available. So in essence its a random gathering of other stuff I thought was cool. Some of the downloads I'll keep up, and others I'll change from time to time. Enjoy ^_^.

Icons
Here are the links to my icons archive. They're also sometimes called avatars, but either way they're the little pictures used in blogs/journals, instant message programs, messageboards, forums, etc. These pages have all the icons I've made myself from various images. Most of them are anime-related, but there are also a couple from video games, cartoons, comics, or other random stuff. Feel free to take them for your own personal use, but please do not repost them on your own webpage or claim that you made them! You're welcome to link to my website however. Credit to Kitsune_rei or fox-dream.com is nice but not necessary if used in a journal. Also feel free to modify them with your own text or whatever.
I don't generally take requests for icons, I'm usually too busy and I just make ones out of stuff I like. I also don't claim any credit for the original images, most I gather through poking through online galleries.

Livejournal icons
1374 icons total (70 new)
new icons added: 02/15/08
These are icons I designed to use on Livejournal. I like making the larger size icons better so I ended up making more of these and not as many of the AIM ones now. These are generally 100x100 in size and can be used wherever that picture size is allowed. Most of them are from anime, manga, and art books, but there are a couple from comics and video games as well.

AIM "buddy" icons
168 icons total
new icons added: 8/18/02
These icons were made to be used on AOL's Instant Messenger (AIM) program, but the general icon size is 50x50 pixels so you can use most of them for other things that require that size, such as message boards. Not all of them are exactly the same size as AIM will resize them automatically if they are close. I was really into making them for a while but I don't much anymore.

Scans
This section is just of scans I made of stuff I think is pretty or like a lot. So stuff from comics and artbooks and the like will be here. I'll probably also turn a couple of these images into wallpapers too. Right now I just have the one Sandman gallery up, because I love comic galleries and I think it sucks its out of print, and somewhat difficult to find.
The Sandman: A Gallery of Dreams
  Published by Vertigo in 1994
This is an old out of print gallery, with images of Neil Gaiman's Sandman by various artists. I love the Sandman series and wish they'd reprinted the galleries, but alas they did not, even though they reprinted most everything else. I know there are some other sites that have some of these images, but I tried to make nice quality large scans. I also have the Endless Gallery, but I'm not able to scan it right now, and I want to get the Death Gallery. I may also try to get the Vertigo Gallery since that has some Sandman pictures too, and I like some of the other Vertigo series. I starred my favorite images.

Music
Here is a selection of MP3s I have for download from my collection. Some things I've ripped myself, others I've downloaded from other places. I just kind of randomly post a selection of stuff I like. Sometimes it'll be themed, other times not. The music will be changed when the mood strikes me, sorry I don't take requests. I used to try to do it monthly but that didn't really work out.
The MP3s I ripped were with MusicMatch Jukebox at 128kbps, and zipped with WinRAR into a .zip file.
If you enjoy listening to what you find here, please support the artists and buy the CD. Anime soundtracks/albums aren't that hard to find nowadays.

Currently: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex soundtrack favorites
This album just rocks. Once I heard the opening song I knew I had to hear more, and my friend helped me get hooked. Here are some of my favorite songs from the soundtracks, if you want the rest I'm sure its not too hard to find around. I'm  not too sure on all the song titles and stuff, but I did the best I could. Lyrics can be found at AnimeLyrics.com.
PS, if anyone knows of ANY other songs by Origa other than on this soundtrack, please let me know! I really would love to hear anything else by them!

OST 1
Track 3- ?? (Gabriela Robin)  6.527 MB
A cool chanty song with interesting background tones and a good beat. Dramatic, reminds me Earth Girl Arjuna music.

Track 8-  Velveteen (Ilaria Graziano)  5.912 MB
Nice sedate pop-type song with good vocals.

Track 9- Lithium Flower (Scott Matthew)- 1st ending song  3.917 MB
A pop-ish tune with male vocals. I actually don't like this one that well but figured I'd include it since its the ending theme.

Track 11- Inner Universe (Origa)- 1st opening song  5.617 MB
This is the song that made me need more GitS music! This song is awesome.

Track 13- Some Other Time (Gabriela Robin)  4.648 MB
Another relaxed song with nice harmony and backgrounds.

OST 2
Track 1- ?? 5.567MB
Just a pretty song with nice vocals.

Track 2- Rise (Origa)- 2nd opening song 5.091MB
This song is just as cool as their other one if not moreso ^_^. I love it.

Track 5- I Can't Be Cool  4.216 MB
Just a rather cool song. I don't really know how to describe it. Parts of it are in Italian.

Track 11- What's It For? 3.023MB
A nice mellow song in English.

Track 13- ??  1.379 MB
A fun instrumental tune with a cool tempo.

Track 16- I Do 4.478 MB
Another beautiful smooth song with nice vocals.

Videos
My videos are all either in zip or rar format to help keep down file size and make it easier for me to upload em. This is just stuff I think is cool that I've downloaded elsewhere, I claim no credit for the creation of these, I'm just kinda randomly sharing them ^_^. You'll need WinRAR to be able to extract these files. For the rar files you have to have all of them downloaded, and then click on the main one (the first one I have linked) to have them reconnected.
Regular Videos
Molly, Star Racer music video (mpg format, rar files, approx 5.24MB each)
  part 1  part 2  part 3  part 4
This is actually fairly easy to find other places, but I think its so cool I put it here too. This is a CG cartoon by a French company with a definite anime influence- the great song this is set to is by the jpop artists Ayumi Hamasaki, taken from her Boys and Girls euromix (thanks Inert Panda for that info.) The style is a really interesting blend of 3-D and cel style (I don't usually like full CG this much.) This is basically a promo video for a television series in the works, not sure when it'll actually be out (I know its been delayed a bit), but I can't wait! Molly rocks my socks.

Anime Music Videos
Here are a couple of my all-time favorite fan-made music videos by various artists. Share the love ^_^. If you don't know what anime music videos are, they're fan-made clips of one or several anime edited to fit a piece of music they chose. Check out AnimeMusicVideos.org for an enormous searchable archive of them! If its a good series, there's probably at least one video to it there ^_^. I love what people come up with, although I'd never have the equipment or the time to do any of my own. I think the best music videos really fit the songs they are to.

(I've removed a lot of my AMVs since sites like YouTube now make them very easy to find. I just left up a couple I hadn't seen on there.)

Excel and the Fuhrer, by Mike Klockow (mpg file, rar files, approx 3.81MB each)
  part 1  part 2  part 3
An Excel Saga video, to the "Pinky and the Brain" theme song. Very funny and appropriate ^_^. Narf!

Not Lupin, by ?? (mpeg format, rar files, approx 4.46MB each)
  part 1  part 2  part 3
This video is the "theme from Lupin the 3rd- readymade S24 mix" to Read or Die. This is a really odd little music video. Has a lot of spunk. I mostly love it because there aren't that many music videos to Read or Die that I know of, and I love the anime. It seems like it shouldn't go with the song, and yet it really does.

Wallpapers
I've done all my wallpapers in 1024x768 format. I've done this mostly because its the size I prefer to use, and most people should be able to automatically resize it to fit their screen from there. I also didn't really feel like making 800x600 size ones. I'd like to do some more wallpapers, this is my first real experience with making them, so I'll try to do some more when I find pictures I like of an appropriate size to scan for them.
Cat Returns/Neko no Ongaeshi
These are a batch of wallpapers I made from a pretty oversize 2003 wall calendar of watercolor sketches from the movie.
  Wallpaper 1- Girls walking
  Wallpaper 2- Cat Parade
Wallpaper 3- Tea in Cat House
  Wallpaper 4- Cat Stampede!
  Wallpaper 5- Cat Fight
Wallpaper 6- Girl and the Baron

Inu Yasha
A wallpaper I made from a pencil board I bought and thought made a nice group picture.

Loveless
A couple wallpapers I made from a pencil board I bought and liked a lot.

Wallpaper 1- Ritsuka and his guardian

Doujinshi
Here is my section of scanned images from manga and doujinshi (fan-made manga, commonly of pre-existing characters but some feature original characters. Doujinshi are very big in Japan, where they don't seem to take affront with the copyright infringement.)

Manga & Doujinshi Scan-lations
I personally like mostly yaoi (boy x boy) stuff, particularly with furry boys, so if you're not into that you may as well skip this section. I do read other stuff, but all that's available commercially anyway.
I'm currently hosting a couple manga for Obsession, a wonderful manga and doujinshi scan-lating group I'm involved with. They do primarily yaoi and shonen-ai stuff, but its nice so check them out. Visit their page for the download links. I'd like to also note they do scan-lations in Spanish.

Currently hosted for Obsession (in English):
Inu mo Akurekeba (If Dogs Could Also Walk), one-shot (part 1-Falling Love and part 2); originally appeared in BeBoy Gold Dec. 2000 (yaoi alert)
I really like this one-shot, I wish there was more! A cute simple story of a dog in love with a man who rescued him from a gang of bullies. The dog's wish to be human is granted when he becomes "excited", much to the surprise of his love! Shi-ran, another scan-lation group, has also done this one. They also did part 3 (Getting Love) which Obsession did not. Each part is pretty short.
Liking You, vol. 1 ch. 1-2 (yaoi alert) (ch. 1 is my very first manga editing job!)  (COMING SOON)
An all-boy's school photography club's exploits while they're on vacation. Gee, what do they seem to like photographing most? Something of a love triangle going on between Isumi, a new member, and two other older members- quiet and mysterious Shinooka, and Okutsura, who has no problem being direct with his adoration. Will some other boys also join in? First volume is relatively tame but by the second things get pretty physical. Nice art and cute boys, not much else you can say about it. Obsession will continue translations but I only plan on hosting the first 2 chapters.
Kitsune no Tama Yobai (title translation?), ch. 1 (shonen-ai)  (NEW!)
I think it should be obvious why I added this one. A cute fox is in it! And his name is Tetsugomi Zorainu which translated into "Iron Rice Celestial Dog" so you gotta love that (though his real name is Shuro). Old era type setting. The story starts out with a Cinderella-boy named Yuzu sent out to do chores. All the girls keep hidden from the fox in spring every year so they don't have to be his bride, for when the fox sees Yuzu at first he thinks he's a girl, but he decides to take him after all. So Yuzu has to decide whether to be Shuro's bride or stay in his Cinderella life! But what does being the bride of a fox really mean?

Doujinshi Scans (raw Japanese)
These are scans of doujinshi I personally own. I don't have anywhere near the Japanese knowledge to translate them, so they are all in their raw form. If anyone can do any translations for me, or even give me a better ghist of what is going on, I'd really appreciate it! Most are about PG-13 rated or under, I've noted anything objectionable if its there. Note on my scans that I go by actual page numbering if its there, and in some doujin they count the cover as page 1, inside cover as page 2 (even if its blank), and then the first page as page 3, which is why a doujin may not begin on page 1.
DO NOT steal any of my pictures for your page without my permission! I did work hard on scanning these so you're welcome to link to my website though.

Sylph (By: Twin-Fuzz)
Yu Yu Hakusho- Hiei, Kurama, and others?
1993; 41 pages, 2 stories
warnings: Medium shounen-ai/yaoi (boy love), some nudity but nothing graphic
I got this doujin off of ebay because I liked the cover ^_^. There are two stories that maybe are or aren't by the same artist, but are at least similar styles. The first is page 9-12 (which is scanned here), and is a short strange and silly story involving Kurama, Hiei, and some jam. The second one, page 15-35 (which I didn't scan and probably won't unless someone REALLY wants me to), appears to be more serious and the style vaguely reminds me of Vampire Princess Miyu. It involves Hiei and a couple other characters which I didn't recognize. The rest of the pages are just random drawings and stuff about the artists.

KoGeMaRu (By: Meetarow)
Vision of Escaflowne- Dilandau, Van, Jajuka, Allen
1998; 42 pages, 1 story
warnings: Mild shounen-ai (boy love)
I bought this one because it was so pretty and Dilandau looked so cute on the cover. The pages are all a tan-brownish color so that's not a mistake of my scanner. The story primarily revolved around Dilandau and Van, but Jajuka and Allen are also in the story. I really can't tell much of what's going on. The boys appear to be younger and in some sort of school together. Van has this shy crush on Dilandau and has a dream about him. The illustration style is very nice but the hands and feet are kinda weird. Sorry there is a change in the color a bit after page 27- I started scanning it a while back and then picked up the project again once I got my own scanner, so they came out differently. Thanks to Nolan at yaoiboys.com (may that site rest in peace) for spurring me to finish it all.

Escaflowne Anthology (By: Various artists)
Vision of Escaflowne- pretty much all the characters
1997; 182 pages, 22 stories
warnings: Nothing particularly objectionable
This is actually an official anthology published by Asuka (you should know them from a lot of manga, like Fushigi Yuugi!), and I was very lucky to get it for as cheaply as I did much less at all! All the artists here have published manga of their own, and did a great job! The first couple pages are just nice color illustrations, and the rest varies in style with each story. Almost every character gets some time in, and the story themes range from sad and pensive to outright hilarious! Page 2-6 is the illustration gallery, 7-8 is the table of contents, and 176-182 is a little about each artist. I used double stars to separate sections or stories. Sorry this isn't all scanned yet, what's there is all I have, but I'm working at it and will put more up as I get to it.

Waga Inochi Kurama (By: Siawasenara Iijanai)
Yu Yu Hakusho- Kurama, Hiei, Yuusuke, others?
1994; 34 pages, ? stories
warnings: Nothing particularly objectionable
original size: 8 1/4 x 6 inches
I'll admit it, I picked this one up because of the cover. I'm a total sucker for Kurama in (yoko) foxy form, but I though it was adorable having normal Kurama with fox ears. Not as much of him in it as I'd hoped though. Still a cute doujin, I think its mostly gag and partly random story- can't make out too much of what's going on. There's a lot of short panel sections. The last couple pages are randomly on a bright green paper. Haven't gotten to scan the rest yet, will be working on it.

Random Stuff
Some random programs and stuff I find amusing ^_^.

Programs
Sheep! (for Windows, 310KB) This is just a cute silly program that makes a little ram that roams around on your desktop. Very amusing. Does a lot of different stuff for such a little program. Just double-click it to run it, double-click on the sheep and select "remove" to close it. If you click on the program icon more than once you'll get multiple sheep (sometimes that's fun cause they can interact.) You can pick them up too by clicking and holding on them. Sorry I don't have the original help file so that option doesn't work, lost it or something. I've had this program for a long time so its kinda old.
